Hello, I’m Marina Valentina, a painter with a passion for capturing the love, energy and emotion that unfolds at weddings. My path has been shaped by my awe of color, leading to decades of personal creative exploration. I've had the luck to attend and graduate from LACHSA and CalArts, where play, concept, and experimentation were the emphasis. These years led me to developing my own creative process, apart from learned technique. I discovered how essential getting into the proper mindset is. How the key to making a piece I am proud of starts with finding presence of mind, remaining curiously receptive and observant throughout, and being unattached to the outcome. These principles helped me find joy and purpose in painting, and they remain my roots to how I paint today.

Painting is far more than representation—it’s a connection and expression of the essence of what there. By not striving for realism, my intuition is free, allowing emotion, energy, and the unseen to come through. This freedom and flow turns painting itself, into an act of love.

I've explored creating art for myself for many years and I'm now finding more joy in creating work for others; in being in direct service, integrated into community, and having an impact I get to see firsthand.
